Between 1923 and 1927 one of Germany`s most famous and nicest hill climbs for race cars and motorbikes was the Herkules Hill Race, held in Kassel in the greatest park of Europe.
International ADAC Herkules Hill Cup
for historic race cars and motorbikes
8th -10th June, 2007
It featured very famous drivers of the time such as Rudolf Caracciola, Karl Kappler, Carl Joerns and Fritz Rosenberger. The race resumed again between 1951 and 1954, but this time it was reborn as a speciality event for motorcycles, with an attendance of over 80.000 spectators.
After 51 years in hibernation the Herkules Hill Cup sprang back into life in summer 2005 over the original historic roads. More than 25.000 people filled with enthusiasm enjoyed the different cars and bikes (for example Austin, Bentley, BMW, Bugatti, MG, Riley, Talbot, Mercedes, Opel, Simson, Rudge and Norton).
